About Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but it goes a bit farther. Deep tissue massage will target the inner layers of your muscles, tendons, and dense connective tissue (also known as fascia). Continue reading below picture for more information.
In a deep tissue massage session I use many of the same stroking and kneading movements as in a therapeutic massage only I will be using far more pressure. Deep tissue massage is usually best suited for athletes and runners, as well as people dealing with injuries. However, it can also be beneficial for people with chronic pain conditions such as low back pain. This service is most specifically for clients with goals of targeting muscle release and improving flexibility, reducing pain and increasing range of motion.
